08/18/11 – Custom Thursday

SlantShack Jerky – One of our new member’s, Scott, roommate from college started his own beef jerky business. They sell grass-fed beef jerky.  Scott says it’s really good, and he is going to bring in some samples.  Maybe we can get a large order together.  If interested, let me know.

What's up Dots, can we rock? Get those knees out. My experience tells me Katie has good shoulder and Thoracic mobility but hips are tight as evidence by her knees slightly tracking inside her toes. Thoughts?
Ron Mexico is looking much better in his OHS. Still have some tight shoulder/tight hip stuff going on, but getting better.

Schedule –

  • Mobility Warm Up
  • Psoas Flossing and Biker Hips – Watch Video and Give It a Try.  If you have tight hips, this be for you
  • Fool Around / Have Fun / Do Something You Absolutely Hate or Suck At.
  • Mobilize some more.  Hang around for an extra 10 minutes, get on a roller, lacrosse ball, box, etc. and work out your issues.

  1. Ooh- I ordered some jerky from them about a year ago. It was awesome. Only complaint was I bought some grass fed and some not grass fed and they weren’t labelled any differently. Really tasty though. I’d be interesting in getting some again, especially if there are gluten free options (I’m a nerd, I know).

    1. How do things look when she does an air squat? Back squat? Front squat?

I based my comment on personal experience. I have really tight hips, yet I manage to squat knees-out because I consciously force my knees out.

  2. Always that darn right knee tracking inward, but I’m sure both go in because maybe that’s my natural reflex…Dots is gonna have to work on pushing those knees out!! And those tight hip joints…stretching, stretching, stretching 🙂

  3. Cathay – I feel your pain!!! I’ve got some supa tight hips – no bueno 🙁 That dude in the video has quite the flashy kettle bell!
