Nutrition Challenge – We sent out a newsletter with all of the information for the Nutrition Challenge.  If you did not receive it, please email me.  I will forward it to you, but make sure to sign up for our newsletter once you receive it.  Please weigh in ASAP.  Also, please post to the comments section regarding your participation.  You don’t have to be a member to participate in the challenge.  If you are someone who follows our website, please feel free to participate on the blog.  Post your daily score and send me your weight.  Good luck to all!

Saturday, October 15 @ 8pm – CrossFit 908′s 2nd Birthday Party! – If you are planning on attending, and would like to bring something, we suggest a food item or booze. We can make a list on the whiteboard.  Since we are doing the Nutrition Challenge, try to bring something paleo friendly.

GOALS! – It is time to renew your goals. Think about one thing you would like to complete by the end of 2011. The whiteboard will be ready for everyone’s goals!

Sunday, 10/09/11 – Two teams from CrossFit 908 will be competing in the Nasty Northeast Throwdown @ CrossFit ACT in Saddle Brook, NJ.  Competition will start around 10am.  Spectator tickets are $10.

Schedule  –

  • Mobility Warm Up
  • WOD – In teams of 3 for time – (Event 1 must be completed before the team can move to event 2.  Only one teammate per movement, i.e. two people can not be doing burpees.  Minimum of 5 reps in a row before switching.
    • Event 1 –
      • 3000m Row
      • 3000m Sandbag Run (45#/25#)
      • 300 Double Unders
    • Even 2 –
      • 150 Wall Balls (20/14)
      • 150 Kettlebell Swings (53/35)
      • 150 Burpees (Game Standard)
  • Stretch

  4. re: nutrition challenge
    If one is going to eat fruit, what are the best choices? Worst choices?

    1. Maureen,
      Post workout you can munch on fruits like a banana, apple or orange. During the day when you are hungry eat some berries. This is the one part of the nutrition challenge that can be a sticking point for people that have several servings per day. If weight loss is your goal, and in this case it is, you should try to limit your fruit servings to <3 per day.
