10/20/11 – Nutrition Challenge Day #11

Great job on the Nutrition Challenge so far! Remember that even the tiniest of cheats count and should be disclosed.  Beer is a cheat since it contains gluten.  Salad dressings with flour or high fructose corn syrup are cheats. Sauces, unless made by you, are most likely cheats.  When the dairy part of the challenge hits next week, we will be eliminating 99% of our dairy intake.  You will be allowed 1 tbsp of butter per day and 1tbsp of heavy cream per day.  Look into buying coconut oil, palm oil, extra virgin olive oil, lard, and or tallow.  We have had some people cut out 100% of dairy already and have seen great results.  It’s worth cutting it all out to see some changes.  You can always add it back in later if you don’t see a difference.

Barbell for Boobs – Saturday, 10/22/11 @ 9:30am.  Bring your friends and family.  There will be a $5 raffle for a Polo bag filled with $400 worth of L’Oreal products that was donated by Jim R’s wife, Maria. The proceeds will be donated to Mammograms in Action, the charity responsible for Saturday’s event.

  1. +1

And just because I’m a weird country girl I can say- if anyone wants lard (or fat back), let me know, I can hook you up. Also- if anyone is in need of eggs, my hens have gone into hyperdrive!

      1. Vince- I saw your comment before I ran to the nooner, so there’s a dozen eggs in the fridge for you and a thing of lard. Ladies (or anyone, really) I’ll try and pack a cooler next time I’m heading to the gym- hopefully our paths will cross and we can have an egg exchange! (and I’ll check out how much more lard I have… I definitely have more fatback).

        1. Thanks Victoria. I come in 6:45 M & W. And 6pm the rest of the week so hopefully I’ll see u sometime then. 🙂

  2. I am pulling myself out of the nutrition challenge. When it comes to food I just don’t have the discipline to be a contender. I have been eating much healthier and plan on doing a modified paleo diet with goals of losing some lb’s in the next month. I have much more respect now for those that are able to stick to the nutrition plan and good luck to all participating…
