09/05/12: Congrats Allen!

I just wanted to share with all of you that Allen is officially the head coach at CrossFit 908. Allen will be staying with us and not returning to school this year.  Allen has been an unbelievable addition to our team.  If you see him, make sure to congratulate him.

CPR/AED

If you missed the last certification class, we are offering two AHA Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED certification class this coming week and next. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be certified in Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED and First Aid. If you are interested, please choose from one of the following classes.

Class 1: Wednesday, September 12th and September 19th from 8 PM-10 PM

Class 2: Sunday, September 16th from 3 PM-6 PM

In order to host the class, a minimum of 4 people need to be registered. Registration is $65 for a non-member and $55 for a CrossFit 908 member. Email Heather ([email protected]) if you would like to sign up and indicate which class you’d like to attend.

We got some Hydroflask water bottles in with the 908 logo engraved on them.  Hands down they are the best water bottle ever.  There aren’t many, and they are already going fast.  We hope to have more soon!  $30 cash.

Today’s Workout –

  • AMRAP 5 –
    • 21-15-9 Pull Ups & 2-for-1 Jumping Lunges – In the remaining time, complete as many burpees as possible
  • Rest 2 min
  • AMRAP 5 –
    • 21-15-9 Toes To Bar & 2-for-1 Jumping Lunges – In the remaining time, complete as many burpees as possible
  • Rest 2 min
  • AMRAP 5 –
    • 21-15-9 KB Swings (53/35) & 2-for-1 Jumping Lunges – In the remaining time, complete as many burpees as possible
  • Immediately following the last workout, run 1200m with a sandbag.  You are scored on your total burpees and the time of your run.

  2. Congrats Allen. You rock the house. Oh, I’ve heard of that workout before, I believe it’s called “death”. This is a sick, sick place. I love it…although me and the girl will need some serious modification;)
