I wanted to take a moment to talk about hand care.  With the CF Open just around the corner I know a lot of people will be working hard on their kipping pull ups and toes to bar, and will likely have a barbell in their hand nearly every day.   It good to form calluses so your hands are strong, but you have to take care of them so you don’t rip.   Make sure you buy a pumice stone or a callus shaver.  If your hands are soft all the time they are going to constantly rip, but having big calluses that stick up are going to get in the way of your grip and definitely tear at some point.  Keith Wittenstein formerly of CrossFit Virtuosity talks about hand care in the following articles.  They are from nearly 10 years ago, but they still hold true.
