Our Kindergarten & 1st grader classes are back! 🤩 Get your little ones ready for some fitness and fun! We are offering a 6 week program that introduces fundamental movement skills for kids in kindergarten and first grade. They will work on improving skills such as balance, body control, flexibility, and coordination. Classes will include a warm up, stretching, obstacle courses, workouts, and games. This is a perfect way to introduce fitness to kids in a fun and safe environment! 13 years ago today we opened the doors to then Cro 13 years ago today we opened the doors to then CrossFit 908, now 908 Athletics. Growing up, I never thought I would own my own business. In fact, I was pretty dead set on the fact I would work for an investment bank and have a career in finance. When I graduated college it started out that way, but I quickly realized I was chasing a life I was going to hate, so I made a switch. It was a risk, but the bigger risk would have been not trying. Going from starting a business when I was 26 to now being nearly 40, to say that some things have changed would be an understatement. While many things have changed, our mission remains the same. To create a space where people have fun, get fit, and disconnect from the stresses outside of our four walls. Thank you to all past and present 908 members and staff who have helped shape this place into what it is. 908 Athletics - we’ve come so far, but we’re not done yet. “Come along and ride on a fantastic voyage” - Coolio
Yesterday we hosted our 9th Garden State Open. We Yesterday we hosted our 9th Garden State Open. We had over 125 athletes competing across three different divisions. While it was cold and rainy outside, it was electric and filled with positive vibes in the gym. From a host's perspective it is amazing to see both the grit the athletes show as well as the energy and motivation the spectators give to the athletes throughout the day. So much support, camaraderie, love, and celebration. To our vendors: @nomatterwhat_apparel, @mademealsco, @warrenstreetroasting, @individual_pt, @deliciousheights - Thank you for supplying us with everything you need to run an awesome event. Your support of our competitions does not go unnoticed. To our prize donations: @nomatterwhat_apparel @warrenstreetroasting @mademealsco @lululemon @athleta @nutrabio @fitaid - You all make the day that much sweeter for the podium finishers by donating some truly awesome prizes. Thank you. To our spectators: You all lit up the room yesterday. Your cheering and support helped a lot of athletes get personal bests. Competing is very nerve racking. You all make the athletes go beyond what they thought possible. To our volunteers and judges: There are no words that can accurately express the gratitude Erin and I have for you all. Besides not being able to put the event on without you, each and every one of you goes above and beyond. Between each division and event there were so many helping hands changing weights, cleaning bars, organizing equipment. You would all make a great NASCAR pit crew. There is so much set up and break down at these events. It's like throwing a wedding every year, but you all do it so gracefully and with a smile on your face. To our athletes: Thank you for showing up year after year. I know how crazy of a day it is for you all, and it's never helpful when the weather does not cooperate. Our top priority each year is your experience, and I hope that we made you all proud. Congratulations to all of the podium finishers. It was awesome to watch you all compete yesterday.
