Today is a programmed rest day. If you have missed a workout from the week, come in and make it up. Otherwise, focus on your mobility, hydration, and maybe throw in some skill work (L-Sits, Rope Climbs, Handstands). Enjoy yourself. Keep stress low. One of the things I love to do on rest days is eat LOTS of good food. One of our very own, Ronald A., is a chef at a well known, fantastic restaurant in Summit, NJ. Ronald had an idea to share his love for cooking and eating with CrossFit 908, and we are super excited for what this could become. In a nutshell, Ronald could be your personal paleo chef, delivering ready-made, healthy meals to CrossFit 908. Here is a note from Ronald on how he would like to start the process.
Hi I’m Ronald Andrade. I have 4 + years working in restaurants and studying culinary arts, I love food and of course I enjoy cooking it.
I specialize in the Paleo diet and would like to share my knowledge of food with all of you. If you don’t have time to cook healthy food at home, I can do it for you. My plan is to work with local and seasonal food, supporting the local farms.
Right now I’m working in a well known restaurant in Summit, NJ, but I am looking to get more from my passion for food. I want to be able to create extraordinary food while helping you eat healthy.
This Saturday, 01/19/13, I’m going to bring some samples, so stick around after the WOD and give it a try, I would love to get your feedback.
