I’m sure most of you are aware, but for those of you who are not, the picture below is of the new CrossFit 908 logo. I have spent the past 4 years unsatisfied with the innumerable iterations of logos, until now. I worked with Vinny C., one of 908’s members and a very talented graphic designer, to come up with the 908 infinity symbol logo. The meaning is not that profound, but it resonates with me. I view fitness as a journey. At no point do I think I will say to myself, “Well self, you are the fittest you will ever be.” The reality of the situation is that there will always be something I can improve upon. Now, my good friend Big Jay from Brazen Athletics would go off on a tangent about how we are limitless and the infinity symbol represents our boundless being, but I am not big enough to have Tony Robbins living inside of me. However, I do think that the infinity symbol is very positive and symbolically represents the infinite amount of good things we can do and positive changes we can enact on each other. In my opinion, CrossFit 908 goes way beyond what a “gym” is and can be. We are an ever growing community of high quality individuals who, together, can help each other to reach goals once thought impossible. I hope you all enjoy your new home and new logo. We will never stop working to bring you better coaching, better facilities, and better guidance. Baby 908 turned 4-yrs old on October 3, and she thanks you all for your support.
