Can I try a class before joining?

Sure! We offer a 7 day trial for just $7 for all first timers to 908 Athletics - click HERE to register.

I'm not sure I'm ready for group class yet, what are my options?

We offer a free intro session where you can meet with a coach, check out the facility, and see if 908 Athletics may be a good fit for your fitness needs. Book your intro session HERE. In addition to group classes, we also offer personal training scheduled around your availability.

What if I have an existing injury?

No problem!  We work with clients of all ages and backgrounds.  We pride ourselves on being able to personalize your workout so that it is both safe and effective regardless of any pre existing issue. Whether you have a knee, hip, back, or shoulder issue, we're here for you.  In addition, we work closely with an in house physical therapist to ensure we are keeping you on the right path.  Don't let an old injury get in the way of improving your overall health and fitness!

What sets you apart from other gyms?

Open since 2009, we are locally owned and want to make an impact on the health and happiness in Berkeley Heights, Westfield, and the surrounding areas. You’re not just a number here, everyone knows your name. We’re a community of like-minded people that is supportive and dedicated to helping each other live better lives. Both our locations offer free parking, showers, air conditioning, water fountain/bottle fill station, weekly meal delivery service through partner Nutrition Kitchen, and more!

How often do you recommend coming to workout classes?

If you are a beginner, we recommend starting with 2 to 4 classes a week, with the goal of working up to 5 a week after your first few months. It may take a while for your body to get used to training at that intensity, so listen to your body and know you will need recovery time between training days.

Do you offer any discounts?

908 Athletics has partnered with Truemed to allow you to reimburse your membership fees from your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Paying yourself back with pre-tax dollars saves an average of $30 for every $100 spent.  If you have an HSA/FSA, start the process by e-mailing us at erin@908athletics.com.

Do I have to be fit to join?

No! You don't become fit to join CrossFit, you join CrossFit to become fit! While some movements might seem intimidating, we'll scale the workout appropriately to keep you safe and help you progress.

What payment methods do you accept?

We take all major credit cards and debit cards as well as cash/check or autodebit from a bank account. Credit/debit cards are subject to a 3% processing fee.

What kind of exercises can I expect during a workout?

Our class programming will include a strength portion in which you’ll work on something like Olympic weightlifting, deadlifting, squatting, or bodyweight strength or you may work on a skill like handstand push-ups. After the strength or skill portion of the class is complete, most days will involve a workout that was programmed for that specific day. Workouts can be anywhere between 10 to 20 minutes or more. All exercises are scalable to any fitness level.

Do you offer personalized nutrition services?

We do! We offer 1-on-1 nutrition coaching along with group nutrition challenges. Whether your goal is to lose weight or gain muscle, we have a nutrition coach and program just for you. Click HERE to book your free nutrition consultation.
