06/01/15: Nutrition Seminar @ CrossFit 908

We are excited to announce that we are hosting a Flexible Dieting seminar with Krissy Mae Cagney.  The seminar will be held on Thursday, July 16th from 6pm-8pm.  The seminar costs $40.  50 spots available.  Sign Up HERE!  We know many of you have explored the Paleo Diet.  This is another approach to nutrition that could very well be helpful to both your performance and aesthetics.  I know many people who use this approach and have seen a ton of success.  This is the same night as the Mt. Carmel Fireworks.  We will have parking passes available for those attending.

Today’s Workout:

  • Back Squat – Find a 3RM – Here is how we want you to approach today.  Take 5 working sets to build to a 3RM.  Your first working set should be @ 85% of your 5RM, second at 95% of 5RM, third @ 100% of 5RM, and your last two sets should be heavier.  Remember, you are trying to set a max.  It should be a big challenge. The truest 3RM is a weight you can only do for 2.  Marinate on that.
  • Conditioning – 18-15-12-9-6-3 (CRx – Start @ 21)
    • Kettlebell Swings (Sx = 35#/26# – Rx = 53#/35# – CRx = 70#/53# – American if possible)
    • Toes To Bar (Sx = Hanging Straight Leg Raise – Controlled descent)
  • Finisher – 3 x :30 Hollow / :30 Superman – Alternating
