It’s summer, a perfect time for floating down the lazy Delaware river in a tube with friends and drinks. Join us for the CFJC – CF908 River Float on Sunday, July 12. A bus will do a pick-up at CFJC, head to CF908 for a pick up, drive us all to the top of the Delaware river, we’ll float down, then the bus will picks us up at the bottom and drives us home!
Schedule of Day – Sunday July 12 (approximate times):
9:00am – Bus pick-up at CFJC
9:45am – Bus pick up at CF 908
10:45am – Stop at Travis’s Parent’s House to fill up tubes
11:00am – Start float at the top of DE river & float about 3 hours
3:00pm – End float at the bottom of DE river & bus pick-up
3:30pm – Deflate tubes, shove faces with food, depart for 908 & JC
4:30pm – Bus drop-off at CF 908
5:15pm – Bus drop-off at CFJC
What to know/ bring/ do:
Sign up for a spot on the bus via the Google Sheet – spaces are limited! If we end up needing a second bus, we can arrange for it.
Tubes – Bring your own tubes (Walmart, amazon.com, etc). Once we get closer to the river, we’ll stop at Travis’s parent’s garage to inflate them via air compressor.
Capacity – The more the merrier! If we have more than 35 people sign up, we’ll get an additional bus (we need space for tubes + coolers).
Food/Alcohol – Bring your own coolers and food. We won’t be able to grill or go to a restaurant at the bottom, so sandwiches/ cold food is a good idea. Food coolers can stay on the bus during the float. Also, floating a cooler is an art form. Travis will demonstrate…
River shoes – Highly recommended you bring a pair.
Bathrooms – The river. Deal with it.
Cost – $10 per person. Cash only. We’ll collect at bus pick-up.
