05/04/16: May the Fourth Be With You

Fourth Annual Yoga@Crossfit908 Mother’s Day!

In honor of Mother’s Day, Karen Kelly has prepared a special FREE yoga class for Sunday, May 8th at 8:30 a.m. (Yes, it’s early… but you can “do breakfast” after class!)  Join us and bring your mom…Come if you are a mom or a mom-to-be (even if it’s in the future!)…. Come if you have (or had) a mom! Moms, you may bring a child (must be over 12). All levels are welcome!

The hour-long class will include breathing, stretching, balancing,flows, and the best… a restorative, relaxing savasana!  Please respond via email: [email protected] before Sunday, May 7th if you are interested!

Registration for Barbells & Beers opens today at 10am!  This is a co-ed partner competition that we are hosting along with Two Roads Brewing Co.  We are also looking for judges and volunteers!  Register here.

Today’s Workout:

  • Skill Work – 10-15 min on Bar Muscle Ups / Chest to Bar Pull Ups / Kipping
  • Conditioning – For Time
    • 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Hand Stand Push Ups (Sx = Box or DB Push Press / Rx = Head to Ground / CRx = 4″/2″ Deficit)
    • 7 KB Complex after each set (1 KB High Pull + 1 American Swing) (Sx = 35#/26# – Rx = 53#/35# – CRx = 70#/53#)
  • Finisher – 8 x :15 on / :15 off Hollow Hold.
