11/10/14: Congrats Jake, Allen, and Kevin

Congratulations to Jake, Allen, and Kevin on obtaining their CrossFit Level 2 Certificates this weekend.  Continuing to improve the quality of our coaching and programming is our main goal.  All coaches at 908 are now Level 2 certified, and by the summer we all are aiming to have our Level 3 certification.

SCHEDULE CHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT:

As some of you may have heard already, we will be changing all classes to 1-hour in length.  Although some of our classes are already scheduled for 1-hour, we have had to program for the classes that are only 45-minutes.  By adding 15 minutes to all of the night classes and the 5:15am, we will be able to go through group warm-ups that focus on properly preparing you for the workout each day.  What this means is that we will require all class attendees to participate in the group warm up each day.  If you are more than five minutes late to any given class, you will not be allowed to participate.  We take what we do as trainers extremely seriously.  This is a business and in order for it to run efficiently, we need to have rules.  Please respect our class times and show up a few minutes early. Please don’t put us in the position to have to deny you participation in the class.  It jeopardizes the integrity of what we are trying to do.  We hope you all enjoy the extra time you get to spend with us each day!  The schedule will be effective as of December 1.  It will look like the following:

  • Monday – 5AM / 6AM / 9AM / 10AM / 4:15PM / 5:15PM / 6:15PM / 7:15PM
  • Tuesday – 5AM / 6AM / 9AM / 10AM / 4:15PM / 5:15PM / 6:15PM / 7:15PM / 8:15PM Fundamentals
  • Wednesday – 5AM / 6AM / 9AM / 10AM / 4:15PM / 5:15PM / 6:15PM / 7:15PM
  • Thursday – 6AM / 9AM / 4:15PM / 5:15PM / 6:15PM / 7:15PM / 8:15PM Fundamentals
  • Friday – 5AM / 6AM / 9AM / 10AM / 4:15PM / 5:15PM / 6:15PM
  • Saturday – 7:30AM / 8:30AM / 9:30AM
  • Sunday – 10AM-12PM Open Gym

Today’s Workout:

  • Strength – Back Squat – 5 x 3 @ 60% of 3RM – 2 second pause in the bottom. Focus on accelerating out of the bottom of the squat.
  • Conditioning – AMRAP10 –
    • 5 Dumbbell Hang Cleans (Sx = 30#/20# – Rx = 40#/30# – CRx = 60#+/40#+)
    • 7 Toes To Bar (Sx = V-Ups)
    • 9 Push Ups
  • Finisher – 3 x :20 Hollow Hold / :20 Superman / :20 Rest
